I offer psychological therapy that emphasizes safety & rewiring the brain to release one's potential based on evidence & guidelines for best practice
I offer integrative psychological therapy that is evidence-based, neuroscience-informed & follows international guidelines for best practices. This neuropsychotherapy is focused on safety, understanding each aspect of who you are & rewiring your brain to release your full potential & joy for life.
Therapy offered primarily online. Face to face therapy available in London UK, if clnically indicated.
Mental health difficulties develop from a combination of biology, environment, insecure childhood attachment experiences in relationships with caregivers, and stressful, threatening or traumatic situations that can occur during ane's lifetime.
My approach to therapy begins with understanding you as a whole person, rather than fitting your experience into a single therapy model or diagnosis.
As part of my usual therapeutic work, I routinely offer validated psychological questionnaires where they may be helpful. Depending on your individual situation, these may explore areas such as trauma, dissociation, attachment, emotional functioning, personality and temperament, and neurodiversity.
My choice and interpretation of these measures is informed by my clinical work and more than 30 years of academic research in psychology, neuroscience, cognition, learning and memory, trauma, dissociation, attachment, personality and temperament. I use the information alongside our conversations and what emerges within therapy to build an evolving psychological formulation: An integrated understanding of how your experiences, relationships, temperament, brain and body have shaped the patterns that are affecting you now.
This helps me select and combine therapeutic approaches according to what appears most useful for you at each stage of therapy, rather than asking you to fit a single treatment model.
Where useful, questionnaires can be repeated later in therapy to help us evaluate change, identify what has shifted, and decide together what may be most helpful next.
This assessment-informed approach is part of my usual individual therapy and does not carry a separate assessment fee. Completing questionnaires is always collaborative and clinically guided; some people find them particularly useful, while for others we may rely more heavily on the therapeutic process itself.
A separate specialist psychological assessment is available for people seeking more extensive diagnostic clarification, structured feedback, treatment recommendations, or a written clinical summary or detailed report.
